Old Tales Die Hard

The same old fairy tale was inspired by a hypertext story entitled The Briar Rose. We reviewed this piece in my hypertext class, and talked a lot about the roles of characters within fairy tales adopt, and how they are always the same. The princess is a helpless fair maiden suited to a charming prince on a long voyage, and the old crone witch trying to ruin it all. Briar Rose takes those roles and questions them.

This project questions our current fairy tales, in culture and movies. Within song lyrics, images, media, movies, we are recreating the same roles, and this is an investigation to expose to reoccurring roles instead of making new stories.
