Advanced Time Based Design

Advanced Time Based Design picks up on the theories of designing motion art. The class focus was on video, and most projects were done in Adobe After Effects of Final Cut Pro. Descriptions for projects can be found on the 304 link above.

HOW DO WE UNDERSTAND TIME: : I do not believe anyone can truly fathom the true implications of time. Time expands beyond the universe, so no one truly knows the true potential or power of time. The concept of time is much more deep than we know, especially in the field of quantum physics, but I do feel that we experience time as a constant flow of energy around us that gives us a sense of organization, consequence, and hopefully something to look forward to

IMAGE STREAM NARRATION: "The Saddening of A Life Cycle
Using 3,600 hundred images tell a story at 1 frame per image.

FOUND ANIMATION: "A Piercing Discovery"
Using found images online create the illusion of animation using rhythem.

MADE ANIMATION: "A Penguin's Place"
Using 1 found image cut and use parts of the image to create an image narration.

SMALL WORLD EXPLORATION: "Lingerie of Mother Earth"
Explore a small space, get close and intimate with it!

**OBSESSION: "Maquillage"
Ritual, Devtion, Sacrifice: Obession (this is an older version of the project)

Motion Graphic Twist: "March of the Penguins"
Recreate the title sequence in the opposite genre than the film was originally for.
